Aircraft X Ray - If you drove Route 1A through Boston Logan Airport in the last decade, you would know the work of British photographer Nick Veasey, who described life-size radiation images of Boeing 777s embedded on the side of United Flight. The airline has been suspended since last summer.

During his nearly 20-year career, the 51-year-old former manager has taken thousands of X-rays. His work is on display in galleries around the world, and last month he published "X-Ray: See through the World Around You", a collection of his mysterious, magical and detailed images.

The plane, believed to be the largest X-ray image ever made, was assembled from a number of beams of light. 500 set up in the photographers' leading bunker outside of London. But the size and story of the 777 picture is confusing. Xu Visa's X-rays are likely to reveal the beauty hidden in everyday life: a pair of boxer shorts, a teddy bear, a training bear.

The reference to death in Veasna's work is obvious - we are reminded of going to the hospital, the impact of ghost airport security. But if his X-rays of the paper-legged sculpture represent a kind of souvenir, then the curiosity of his grand project, an effort to portray aspects of life, seems to contradict reality. Gloomy. His work reminds you of a child who breaks a stereo in amazement at the intricate weaving of wheels and strings required for making music.

According to Mr. Veasna's personal words, light shines in his head. This transcript is summarized and edited from the telephone interview.

Even at a young age, I was fascinated by how things work. I started taking X-rays 20 years ago after I was asked to make a Pepsi can for a breakfast TV show. From there, I continued. I love it. I used to take X-rays of anything that looked cool. Now I am trying to prepare more, but I still take more - I can not help it. I'm overwhelmed.

About 80 percent of my work is fine art, 20 percent is commercial. I mean, we shoot 200 a year. Most of them have never seen sunlight.

Air Shippers Fear Costs, Delays Due To Hong Kong X Ray Rule

I usually have about 15 projects on the go. I am currently working on classic car series such as E-Type Jags, Ford Mustangs. I found a way to do it without having to disassemble it, which is good. I also make guns. These are death machines, horrible, but when you take an X-ray, they are beautiful.

I was working on another project with an avant-garde shoe maker in Germany, one of which was making shoes from human teeth. When I heard that, I could not resist this project. The next day I had some flowers for a pre-death photo shoot.

I'm a bit Luddite. People say to me, "Oh, you can do what CGI can do." Of course, a lot of the things I do can be done on a computer, but I like the fact that. The world is getting smaller and faster and I will go the other way. But I like to x-ray the monsters inside, I like to see what’s inside, how they work and what’s hidden.

You could say that my work is a metaphor for life. It's like when you first meet someone and you are attracted to them because they look good. . However, what makes you fall in love with someone is what is inside. It's the same for me with these pictures. In my world, these are beautiful things.

People say that what I do is interesting, but it is not enough. These pictures must be clean, otherwise it is not worth creating. They need to connect on an emotional level. I read about people who are obsessed with inflatable dolls, taking them to sports and movies and stuff. So I took X-rays of these dolls and guess what? They are empty, like the lives of poor souls wandering over them. Is it science or art?

One of the things I hate about doing funny work is the human form. I like inanimate objects. When I use people, they are all the same person. It's an Indian woman named Freda. Her bones are in a rubber suit at a hospital in Kent. If I wanted to have a baby, I would cut him. If someone is playing tennis, I grab her elbows and shoulders. The person sitting on the bus I shot: All Freda. Campaign for the Mini with Skeleton Driving: Freda. I owe her. She helped me a lot.

I do not work with corpses - I did something with a horse once, but all this blood and stuff came out. Not bad, even worse, when I had to take an X-ray of a fast food burger - it was horrible. The brightest thing in the picture is the bone material, so let's see. Ah

Then a boy playing with a dog is a desirable customer. Even though Freda plays a human, I want this animal. If I had used live radiation would have killed it in a matter of months. So I had about three days to find the dead dog. I called an animal shelter and said, “I know you have to keep dogs sometimes. Can I have one? ” They hung on me and I was driving and saw a dead bat on the sidewalk. I took it back to the studio for an X-ray. Legs and says, "This is your dog!"
